Getting Started

Creating Your Account

Before you sign up, get an enrollment key from your instructor. This is the password for your class and you'll need it to enroll after creating your account.

  1. Go to varsitylearning.com/student-signup.
  2. Fill in the Student Account Request form:
    • First Name and Last Name
    • Email (this will be your username)
    • Phone (optional)
    • Password — minimum 8 characters, with letters and numbers
    • Confirm Password
    • Check the box to agree to the Terms of Use
  3. Click Request Account.

Once your account is created, you can log in and enroll in your class using the enrollment key your instructor gave you.

Already have an account?

If your instructor told you to use a specific username or to register a different way, follow their instructions instead.

Logging In

Go to varsitylearning.com/login, enter your username and password, and click Login.

About the /imathas/ in your address bar

After you log in, the address bar will show varsitylearning.com/imathas/.... That's normal — it's the course platform that powers your classes, homework, and gradebook. You haven't left Varsity Learning.

Forgot Your Username or Password?

The login page has two separate links below the Login button:

  • Forgot Username — enter the email address you used to sign up and we'll email your username back to you.
  • Forgot Password — enter your username or email and we'll send a reset link.

If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. If it still doesn't arrive, contact your instructor — they can reset your password directly.

Enrolling in a Course

Your instructor will give you two things:

  1. Course ID — a number that identifies the course
  2. Enrollment Key — a password for the course (case-sensitive)

To enroll:

  1. Log in and click Enroll in a New Class on your home page.
  2. Enter the Course ID.
  3. Enter the Enrollment Key.
  4. Click Enroll.

The course will appear on your home page. If enrollment fails, double-check the Course ID and Enrollment Key — even one wrong character will cause an error.

Your Home Page

After logging in, your home page lists all your active courses. Click a course name to open it. From your home page you can also:

  • Update your profile (click your name in the navigation)
  • View messages from instructors
  • Access account settings

Profile and Settings

Click your name in the top navigation to access your profile. You can update your email address, change your password, and adjust display preferences like math rendering and time zone.
